DRESS CODE

Why are they Important?

Dress codes are important because they show respect for the artform of dance. When students come dressed appropriately, their overall performance in class improves. We consider it dressing for success - when you look and feel the part, you eventually become it!

Ballet:

  • Female students are required to wear pink Ballet tights, pink leotard, pink skirt, and pink leather/canvas ballet shoes.

  • Hair should be neatly secured into a classical bun.

  • Male students are required to wear black shorts or tights and a white T-shirt. Full-sole leather ballet shoes in black are acceptable. Hair should also be neat and kept off the face.

  • Ballet attire available from our Shop!

Modern:

  • Students may wear tights and a leotard, shorts, leggings, sports bra, tank top, or t-shirt. Preferably no baggy or loose-fitting clothing.

  • Footsocks and/or Jazz shoes where required.

  • Hair should be neatly secured in a bun, ponytail, or braids.

  • Modern attire available from our Shop!

Tap:

  • Students may wear tights and a leotard, shorts, leggings, sports bras, tank tops, or t-shirts.

  • Lace up tap shoes.

  • Hair should be neatly secured in a bun, ponytail, or braids.

Hip Hop:
